Happy Spring Break In-Between Gang! Whether you have already had your break, you’re currently on it, or you have a few weeks left before, I’m sure that we can all agree that a break is much-needed and well-deserved. To those of you out of school, we hope you still make time to rest and unwind!

Taking time to step outside of your routine is crucial, especially when you are busy, which, let’s face it, most of us are. I know that there is a lot of pressure to embark on crazy vacations as a young adult on Spring Break, but I’m going to let you in on a little secret. While Spring Break trips can be a lot of fun, they are often WAY overhyped.

Some of my favorite Spring Breaks have been spent on simple trips with a few close friends or relaxing at home. So here are some things that you can do that don’t involve being cramped on a crowded beach!

Host a Movie Marathon

Who doesn’t love being a couch potato for a day? Invite a few friends over or embark on your cinematic journey by yourself, both are super fun! I would also recommend grabbing/making some good snacks and picking out a comfy outfit. Depending on the weather, you could also host this movie night outside!

Have a DIY Spa Day

Take some time to treat yourself to a day of relaxation and self-care. You can do facemasks, paint your nails, do your hair, take a nice bath, and so much more! Self-care is so good for your soul, and after the first half of the semester, you’ve earned some you time!

Explore Your Surrounding Area

Who said that you have to go far away to have an adventure? There are so many beautiful and unique places hidden right in your hometown! Go on Google and search for local parks, museums, attractions, coffee shops, and anything else you can imagine! Who knows what you might find!

Have A Picnic

Pack up some yummy food, or grab some fast food on the way to a local park and enjoy dining outdoors! Bonus points if you have a friend or two tag along! You may also enjoy spending your meal in the company of a good book, some music, or some quiet.

Host a Game Night

There are endless hours of fun to be had around a table with some friends/family. Open up the game closet and grab a board game, a deck of cards, or maybe a puzzle or two, and spend a few hours away from screens enjoying this classic pastime.

Try A New Recipe

With some spare time on your hands, maybe it’s time to finally try that new recipe that you found online a few weeks ago. Go to the store, grab your ingredients, and make an evening out of cooking up something new!

Start A Project That You Have Been Putting Off

Get creative and start that DIY Project that you’ve had in the back of your mind. Maybe it’s time to organize a cluttered area or refresh/redecorate a space. Whatever it is, take advantage of your break to get it done!

Learn Something New

Use your time away from the classroom to learn something that you’re interested in, like a new skill or hobby. These can be things like painting, photography, crocheting, playing an instrument, gardening, and tons of other things, the possibilities are endless!

Relax And Enjoy This Time In Between

Sometimes the best Spring Break activity that you can partake in is some much-needed relaxation. You have had half a semester of classes, due dates, homework, events, work, internships, socialization, and much more. It might be time to slow down and give yourself room to relax. Enjoy the In Between so that you’re ready to conquer the rest of the semester!

Whatever your plans are, we hope that you have a lot of fun and that you stay safe! We are so proud of you guys for all of the hard work that you have put in so far, so go ahead, take a minute to breathe, put your feet up, and soak up some relaxation!
